About us.
The “SIVLL” in SIVLL Society stands for Social Innovation via Lifelong Learning. By bringing together personal development and social change, we hope to co-create a better St. Martin for future generations. Our 3 Core Pillars that guide our programs are: Personal Development, Community Care and Social Change. Through a blend of offerings in adult learning, youth mentorship and general community education, we strive to improve the livelihoods of people living on St. Martin.
Our programs.
Our current program offering is the Community Education Program in which adults can learn alongside enthusiasts about a particular topic or can learn from local experts themselves. We collaborate with facilitators to provide sessions on topics related to personal development, community care or social change.
Our long-term vision is to train adults to become youth mentors. We hope to launch our youth mentorship programming in 2025.
Our team.
Our Founder, Sahar Thomson, is working to launch our program offerings by collaborating with local experts and facilitators who are enthusiastic about topics that can benefit our community. We are also building partnerships with other organizations and supporters in the community development and education space. If any of our work resonates with you, please email sahar@sivllsociety.org.
